“Today 9 more people who have returned to Nagaland have been tested positive for COVID-19. The total active cases in the State now stand at 18.  All the positive persons are being kept under medical observation at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. Further, active surveillance and Contact Tracing in connection with the positive cases is being carried out.

The daily report on Law & Order from the State Home Department with regard to COVID-19 lockdown as stated by the Principal Secretary, Abhijit Sinha, IAS informed that there has been 1(one) violation of the lock down as on 27th May 2020. On remedial steps taken against the violations, he also stated that 1(one) person has been bound down and fines were imposed on 265(two hundred and sixty five) vehicles and added that Rs.

To take precautionary measures before the onset of South west monsoon and in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has requested all the technical departments maintaining community assets to send in status report of the public utilities, the performa for the periodical inspection of public utilities as issued earlier by NSDMA, Home Department.

The Nagaland Board of School Education in a notification NO.NBE-8/EX-Results/2020-21 Dated Kohima, the 28th May 2020 has informed that the provisional results of the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2020 conducted by the NBSE shall be declared in the late afternoon of 30th May 2020. The results shall be made available in the following modes:

The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India had received grievances  from the students and parents stating that universities and colleges are insisting upon immediate payment of annual/semester tuition fee, examination  fee, etc. The students and parents had represented that due to the financial hardship being faced due to the lockdown, they are not in a position to make payment of fee.
