DC KOHIMA INFORMS ON VEHICLES RESTRICTION TO ENTER INSIDE DC's OFFICE COMPLEX

The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Kohima, Mohammed Ali Shihab A IAS has informed all concerned that all Government and private vehicles have been restricted to enter inside the DC's Office Complex Kohima from 1st to 4th November the 2020 except for those on election duty or election related works.

This information was issued keeping in mind the ensuing Bye-Election to 14ty Southern Angami I ST Assembly Constituency scheduled on 3rd November 2020.

The Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS has notified for general information of all concerned that as per Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the campaigning period for Bye-election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from 14-Southern Angami-I (ST) Assembly Constituency and 60-Pungro-Kiphire (ST) Assembly Constituency shall come to an end vv.e.f.

PAID HOLIDAY FOR GOVT EMPLOYEES ON POLLING DAY

In accordance to Section 135B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and in view of the Bye-Election for 14-Southern Angami-I (ST) AC and 60- Pungro Kiphire (ST) AC in the State of Nagaland on 3rd November, 2020 (Tuesday), the State Government has notified that all establishments including Government Offices and Shops shall remain closed in the area falling under the said constituencies on the day of poll.
