In order to contain and control the spread of Noval coronavirus in the district the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng M. ShayungPhom has issued an order in the interest of public health and safety, the following regulatory measures/restrictions and promulgated with immediate effect.

The State Emergency Operation Centre COVID-19 Control room Kohima has issued the report on Law & Order across the state as on 28th June, 2020. Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Hiazu Meru stated in the report that, there Two (2) persons violated the orders of Lock down and Curfew,  meanwhile four  (4) persons bound down.

Peren District Legal Team held a meeting at DC Complex, District Hq. Peren on 26th June, 2020. The meeting was presided by EAC Ngwalwa, Rumbemo T. Kithan.

Addressing the meeting EAC Ngwalwa-cum-Legal Team Convener, Rumbemo T. Kithan stated that the meeting is conducted to look into legal provisions related to the violation of Government Order by inmates of quarantine facility as well as Government employees.

In course of meeting, the following agendas were deliberated: 

In view of the large number of returnees from outside the state having completed their facility quarantine period within the district and following the SOPs, being sent for community/home quarantine to their respective villages/wards and considering that many frontline workers have been engaged in managing the returnees, it is deemed necessary to take stringent precautions to prevent any unlikely incident that may result in local or community transmission.
