Nagaland will join the nationwide campaign on POSHAN Abhiyaan and will celebrate RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAAH from 1 to 30th September 2020. The entire month of September 2020 is being celebrated as Rashtriya Poshan Maah which is PM’s overreaching scheme for holistic nourishment – Poshan Abhiyaan is a multi-ministerial convergence mission to address malnutrition with a targeted approach by 2022.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Nagaland, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has notified that in view of the detection of a COVID-19 positive person residing at the following locations viz. Officer's Hill Colony and Old Minister's Hill Kohima, the area defined below is demarcated as SEALED AREA in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing.
Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Task Force COVID-19, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has stated that as per report received from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Tuensang, 13 (thirteen) persons were tested positive for SARS COV-2(COVID-19) via TRUENAT and confirmed by RdRp Gene confirmation on 29th August 2020 at COVID-19 Hospital Tuensang.
Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS notified that a total lockdown has been enforced from 29th August to 4th September 2020 in Aboi Town, Ngangching village and Aopao village under Mon district with the following conditions. Movement of public and private vehicles is strictly prohibited except on medical emergencies. All business/commercial establishments and shops shall remain closed, pharmacies were exempted. Not more than 20 persons will be permitted in case of funerals.
ATMA Chunlikha block conducted ‘field day cum farmers exposure trip’ at Phenda village, Tseminyu on 18th Aug 2020. The farmers along with ATMA staff visited a tea farm school with the farm teacher Shwenga Kent.
