Startup India as part of its continued efforts to promote start-up ecosystem development and strengthen grassroots innovation has launched the TEJAS initiative (Transforming Entrepreneurial Journeys Across States and Districts) across 132 districts in the country.

 
The 3-day annual games and sports meet 2026 for Government Middle School, Pungro Village was inaugurated on 9th April 2026 by Special guest, Lenpithong Kurian, Federal Council Member, Yimkhiung Tribal Council at Pungro village ground, Kiphire.
Kurian in his speech, spoke on the importance of games and sports not just as a sense of recreation but it's scope as a career opportunity.
