In an official order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, it has come to the attention of the authorities that certain individuals within Niuland District are engaging in the unauthorized practice of using their private vehicles for commercial purposes. These activities include the transportation of passengers and goods without possessing a valid permit from the competent authority.

The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. (TRIFED), in collaboration with the Longleng District Administration, has announced the 'Tribal Artisan Mela' as part of the "Marketing and Logistics Support for Promotion of Tribal Products in NER (PTP-NER)" initiative.
