The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has issued a notification that many of the universities/ colleges/ institutes collect the original academic certificates, mark-sheets etc. at the time of issuing employment contracts of the teachers and then continue to retain those documents with them.

“A total of 50 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 3,168. The positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals and COVID-19 Care Centres. Further, active surveillance and contact tracing is also in progress to prevent further spreading of the infection.

The state level function of the 74th Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2020 at the Secretariat Plaza, Kohima will be streamed live at MyGovNagaland Facebook and YouTube channel from 9:00 AM onwards.

STATEMENT OF CM ON DISCUSSION OF COVID -19 IN THE STATE
Leader of the house and Chief Minister Nagaland Neiphiu Rio put forth a statement on COVID -19 Pandemic at the sixth session of the thirteenth assembly session on 13th August 2020.
LOKAYUKTA NAGALAND GRANTS PROSECUTION SANCTION
A case was registered on 06/10/2018 against the then Secretary, Horticulture Department & Managing Director Small famer's Agri- Business Consortium (SFAC) Nagaland who had issued the work order for the Project "Post Harvest Management of Horticulture crops in Dimapur. Peren, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Phek and Wokha" to the contractor without technical approval. The total amount of the Project is Rs. 717.90 lakhs and an amount of Rs. 24130 lakhs was released as 1st installment.
