Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie has notified that in view of the detection of a COVID-19 positive person residing at the following location viz. Mima Village, the areas defined below are demarcated as SEALED AREA in order to contain the spread of the disease/infection and for necessary contact tracing.

All movement of person/vehicles within the defined Sealed Area is strictly restricted/prohibited and under active surveillance with immediate effect.

The Kohima District Tasks Force (DTF) on COVID-19 in its emergency meeting held on 7th August resolved the following points for necessary adherence for all returnees to the District w.e.f. 10th August 2020: All returnees to the District will be charged for fooding @ Rs 300/- (Three Hundred only) per day for lunch and dinner. Other basic requirements will be made available on payment to all the returnees.

“Today, a total of 31 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected, and the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 2,688.

The Directorate of School Education has notified for the information of all concerned that the video lessons telecasted by the Department of School Education, Nagaland from the month of May 2020 through Doordarshan, YouTube and Facebook will be available at Jio TV under the Channel Name ‘School Education Nagaland’ w.e.f. 10th August 2020.
