The Principal Director, School Education, Shanavas C has notified for the information of all concerned that the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti has established a State of-art Rashtriya Swachhata Kendra(RSK) at New Delhi. The RSK is being set up as an ‘experience center' which uses modern technology to chronicle India’s Swachhata journey in a hi-tech edutainment format with a mix of indoor digital and outdoor physical exhibits. The RSK will be inaugurated on 8th August, 2020 and on this occasion, DDWS is launching the Gandagi Mukt Bharat (GMB) campaign - a special week long campaign for swachhata from 8th to 15thAugust. In this regard, all schools in the State have been directed to undertake the following suggestive participatory activities during the period of 8th to 15th August, 2020:
The web cast link for the inauguration event of RSK‘pmindiawebcast.nic.in’ may be circulated to all teachers and students and they may be encouraged to log on to watch this important event on 8th August 2020 at 4:45 p.m.
An online painting competition for classes 6 to 8 and an essay competition for classes 9 to l2 on the theme of' “Gandagi Mukt Mera Gaon” may be organized on 13th August, 2020. Schools shall select best two entries of each category and forward the same to respective District Education Officers. Name of Student, Class, School Name & UDISE Number should be mentioned in the entries forwarded to the DEOs.
Best three entries from the State will be forwarded to National level competition and winners both the categories will be felicitated on 2nd October, 2020.
Further, all schools shall submit details of students participated in each event in the format given at the Annexure to the respective District Education Officers in MS Excel File before 2:00 p.m of 14th Aug. 2020.
The District Education Officers shall select best three entries from each category and forward the particulars in the above format as MS Excel File along with the entries to spdnagaland@yahoo.com before 2 pm of 15th August 2020.

August 9, 2020: Campaign led by Village Mukhiya/Sarpanch to collect and segregate Single Use Plastic (SUP).
August 10, 2020: Shramdan in Panchayats to whitewash / cleaning of public buildings & Launch of SBM mobile academy.
August 11, 2020: All India wall painting day of SBM messages in villages.
