The Government of Nagaland vide letter No. MA-65/2016 dated 2nd April 2022 has directed the State Election Commission to initiate and intensively update the Electoral Rolls of all the 39 (Thirty-Nine) Municipal/Town Councils.
And the Government of Nagaland vide letter NO.MA-65/2016 dated 12th July 2022 has conveyed Administrative Approval for the conduct of Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls for all the 39 (Thirty-Nine) Municipal/Town Councils.
Therefore ROVILATUO MOR, IAS, State Election Commissioner, Nagaland in the exercise of power conferred under Section 30(1) read with Section 11 (2) & (3) of the Nagaland Municipal Rules, 2003 directed that Intensive Revision of the Electoral Rolls for all the Municipal and Town Council in Nagaland shall be taken up with reference to 1st January 2022 as the qualifying date according to the schedule indicated as under:-

1. For Intensive Revision of the Electoral Rolls of the 39 (Thirty-Nine) Municipal/Town Councils, the State Election Commission, in the exercise of provision of Section 34 (1) of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001, direct that under Section 11 (2) & (3) of the Nagaland Municipal Rules, 2003 Intensive Revision shall be prepared for all the Wards and Rules 5 to 10 shall apply concerning such revision. Draft Publication as indicated in the above schedule 3shall be published under sub-rule (1) of Rule 6 of the Nagaland Municipal Rules, 2003.
