The HSLC Examination 2022 commenced from 9th March 2022 and concluded on 22nd March 2022 and the HSSLC Examination 2022 commenced from 8th March 2022 and concluded on 31st March 2022. In HSLC, a total of 28938 candidates were enrolled and in the HSSLC a total of 17121 were enrolled for the examination. 1392 candidates were enrolled for HSLC Compartmental Examination 2022 and 901 qualified the examination with a pass percentage of 64.73%.

 

A.        HSLC Examination 2022:

Out of 28938 candidates, a total of 18721 candidates qualified the examination with a qualified percentage of 64.69%.

The girls have again done better with 10021 girls qualifying and 8700 boys qualifying the examination. In the Top 20 list, there are 62 candidates out of which       18 are boys and the rest 44 are girls.

90 schools secured 100% qualified/pass percentage. Out of 90, 78 are private schools and 12 are government schools. This year, 34 schools have zero/nil result out of which 33 are government schools and 1 private school.

In terms of district wise performance for government schools, Kohima district topped the table with a percentage of 57% followed by Mokokchung and Peren districts at 54% and 52%. Kiphire district is at the bottom with 7%.

In respect of private schools, Kohima district is at the top with a percentage of 88% followed by Zunheboto at 84%.

The number of candidates who secured 80% and above in aggregate is 1527. Out of 1527, 20 candidates are from government schools.

 

B.        HSSLC Examination 2022:

16 institutions under Arts stream, 10 institution under Science stream and                  4 institutions under Commerce stream secured 100% pass result.

It is heartening to mention that there are 2 toppers from Government Higher Secondary Schools in the Merit list at the HSSLC Examination 2022 in Arts stream from Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Jotsoma in Rank 4 and Rank 8 from Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Chumukedima.

There was no COVID-19 positive case among the students during the conduct of the Examinations. The results could be declared along with the main results with the active cooperation of all the schools and teachers.

 

C.        Compartmental Examination 2022:

Due to the pandemic, the Board could not conduct HSLC Compartmental Examination in the same year. However, with the improved situation, the Board will be holding the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2022 tentatively in the last week of June 2022. Necessary information will be given out in due course of time.

 

D.        Governor’s Excellence Award in Science Study of HSSLC Examination

Besides the various Awards given by the Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, the ‘Governor’s Excellence Award in Science Study’ shall be awarded from HSSLC Examination 2022 onwards. The Award will be given to the best 6(six) students in science stream with the following subject combination, subject to fulfillment of the guidelines governing the “Governor’s Excellence Award in science study of HSSLC Examination” as notified by the Governor’s Secretariat vide Notification dated 4th March 2022:

 

1.         Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM)    – 3 Awards

1st       – Rs. 1,00,000/-

2nd      – Rs. 50,000/-

3rd       – Rs. 25,000/-

 

2.         Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB)             – 3 Awards

1st       – Rs. 1,00,000/-

2nd      – Rs. 50,000/-

3rd       – Rs. 25,000/-
