Nagaland Police, in its drive against the menace of drugs and psychotropic substances have taken pro-active steps and during the last fortnight w.e.f 27/02/2022 to 12/03/2022, has registered 38 cases wherein 40 persons were arrested. It conducted 53 house raids and 1757 vehicle raids. During the aforementioned period, the Nagaland Police have also made the following seizures.

Further, on 16/03/2022 the Tuensang Police conducted MVCP and made a seizure of (1) Eskuf DX cough syrup (100 ml) -150 bottles (2) Recodex DX cough syrup (100 ml)- 120 bottles (3) Tramadol & Acetaminophen -450 tabs (4) Dicyclomine hydrochloride -200 tabs the market value of which are estimated to be Rs.93,000/- approximately. In this connection, one person was arrested and a case was registered at Tuensang PS Case NO. 12/2022 U/S 22 (c) NDPS Act R/W 125 B/34 IPC.

The Nagaland Police to appealed to the general public to combat the menace jointly by providing any information related to sale/distribution/transport of any form of narcotics/drugs/IMFL, etc., to the nearest Police station or Nagaland Police officers whose CUG phone numbers are available in the 'Call Your Cop' mobile App.
