Sensitization & Awareness Campaign Programme on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act, 2016 was held at conference hall, Hotel Whispering Winds, Mokokchung on 11th November 2021. The programme was organized by Mission Mode Team (Accessible India Campaign) in collaboration with the office of State Commission for persons with Disabilities. Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland & Team Leader, Mission Mode Team (AIC), K. Libanthung Lotha, IAS gave the introduction of the Sensitization & Awareness Campaign and appealed to every person to be a good messenger and educate the people on the campaign on rights of persons with disabilities. Advocate Guwahati High Court/Legal Implications of Non Compliance, Apila Sangtam, and State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Diethono Nakhro spoke on the overview, status of Implementation & way forward RPWD Act, 2016. The programme was chaired by ADC Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS and was attended by heads of Departments and public leaders. (DPRO Mokokchung)
