The Department of Social Welfare Mon on 16th March, 2021 organised the Launching of  Poshan Pakhwada & Plantation of Medicinal Plants Programme at Mission Compound, Mon.

Poshan Pakhwada will be celebrated across the District from 16th to 31st March 2021 in collaboration with convergent Departments which includes District Administration, H&FW, RD- NRLM, PHE and AYUSH.

            The key focus of Poshan Pakhwada are:

i) Addressing nutritional challenges through food forestry.

ii) Poshan Panchayat

iii) Launch of Mission Kalpataru, Poshan Tracker and Poshan Atlas on 22th March 2021.            

            The Programme was launched by SDO (Civil) Mon, Ilika Zhimomi NCS. In her address, she appealed to all the stakeholders to coordinate and work for the success of the mission.

DPO (ICDS) Mon, Tauhong Ngonyen reminded the staff and officers about the responsibility that they hold and urged upon them to work sincerely for the success of the mission. He stated that the target beneficiaries for Poshan Pakhwada was 90,000 for Mon District. 

            The event was chaired by Supervisor, Phomching Project Ngonying and vote of thanks was delivered by CDPO Tizit, Chubatula Pongener.
