The District Magistrate of Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has officially withdrawn the prohibitory orders previously imposed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in the designated Security Zone comprising Lok Bhavan and its adjoining areas.

The restrictions, which were enacted on 27th October 2026 to regulate unauthorized assemblies, processions and gatherings have been lifted following a comprehensive review of the law and order situation. Security agencies confirmed that public peace, tranquility, and normalcy have been fully restored, rendering the preventive measures unnecessary.

According to the official directive issued on 29th October 2026, all restrictions on public movement, assemblies and activities within the specified boundaries stand rescinded with immediate effect.
