The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed all the institutions registered under NBSE that as per the directive of Ministry of Education, Government of India, this year, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 31st October 2022, the “Unity Run” may be organised in all the schools across the country for all the classes and age groups in the following manner:
·Students may run for short distance/long distance as per their feasibility and convenience.
·The Run may precede/coincide with the morning assembly/zero period/start of day in schools preferably at 7-8 AM on 31st October 2022.
·Wherever possible, either at start and/ or end of run, Principal and/or senior faculty member(s), students may speak about Sardar Patel and his role in national integration.
·Schools/college magazines, websites, WhatApps groups of all classes to give adequate publicity to the event. Wherever feasible, families of students, local community should be asked to join the run.
·As a special outreach, attempt should be made to ensure participation of street children, children from marginalized areas (including Children with Special Needs) etc. in the Run.
·The photos of the activity may be uploaded on social media with #RunForUnity
In addition, activities such as (i) Debates, speeches on Sardar Patel's contribution in uniting India (ii) School assemblies dedicated to Sardar Patel and (iii) Exhibition on life and contributions of Sardar Patel may be also be organized in all the schools across the State. Further, the digital version of the content created for the exhibition may be shared through the social media platforms and schools' websites with all the students.
