Phek District Development Co-ordination & Monitoring Committee (DISHA) held its meeting at DC's Conference Hall, Phek on 24th June 2026, where Deputy Commissioner Phek, Rhosietho Nguori chaired the meeting and delivered the welcome addressed.
Nagaland Lok Sabha MP, Supongmeren Jamir and Chairperson of DISHA, Phek, MLA, Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Nagaland, Kudecho Khamo, and State DISHA Members, Medokul Sophie and Toshipokba Longkumer attended the District Development Co-ordination & Monitoring Committee meeting held at DC's Conference Hall, Phek on 24th June 2026.
Addressing the meeting, MP Lok Sabha, Jamir said that the purpose of DISHA committee meeting programmes in at District level is to encourage the officers to share success stories and challenges faced in the process of development activities, so that all possible support and co-ordination could be extended by all concerned departments.
The meeting deliberated and discussed on the current developmental activities of various departments during which PowerPoint presentations were presented by the Chief Veterinary Officer, DEO (Edn), District Welfare Officer, and District Programme Officer (ICDS) Phek highlighting their department's activities benefited to the people.
Highlighting the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under the department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry for the Development of Piggery, Poultry, Dairy, Sheep & Goat, Chief Veterinary Officer Phek, Dr. Mhonlumi Lotha said that beneficiaries can avail loan starting amount from twenty lacs upto one crore in EDP Scheme. The MP added that the EDP was an encouraging scheme for the educated unemployed in the State, and advised District Administration and the concerned department to initiate programmes which would create public awareness in the district.
MLA & Advisor, Kudecho Khamo, during his short speech, acknowledged his appreciation towards active and sincere participation in the development plan works for the State by Supongmeren Jamir.
The programme was concluded by Tree Plantation Drive at Phek led by the MP.
