In accordance to Section 7 (1) and Section 5 (1) of The Nagaland Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion & Facilitation) Act 2020 for the purpose of regulating and developing Agricultural Marketing in the State, the following market areas under each of the respective APMC, demarcated and delineated along with the Agricultural commodities to be regulated is hereby notified with immediate effect as indicated below.

2. Commodities notified for regulation.

14.       All agricultural produces in Nagaland.

 

3. Sales (excluding farmers/producers) and purchase of the above commodities by any traders will be carried out with License obtained from the Nagaland State Agriculture Marketing Board (NSAMB) or from the respective APMC.
4. Taxation will not be levied by any Market Commodities (APMC) while crossing the other APMC jurisdiction by any License traders, unless the traders utilize the respective APMC facilities or the respective APMC renders services to the traders. However, no market fee shall be levied and collected from farmers as per GOI ordinance on the Farmers Produce Trade & Commerce (Promotion & Facilitation) Ordinance 2020 under clause (1) of article 123 of the Constitution of India. Issued vide F No.26011/3/2020-M.II dated 05.06.2020.
5. Licensed traders of the above commodities are permitted to move freely across all check gates within Nagaland state and no taxation is permitted to be levied from such License traders.
6. Taxation if any from the License traders will be levied as per the prevailing Section 71 of this Act. However movement of all essential commodities which are included under this notification and which are also being carried out under the Food and Civil Supply Authorities of the State or Central Government, are exempted from the purview of this notification.
