We are celebrating the 58th Anniversary of the Nagaland Day. On 1st December 1963, Nagaland became the 16th State of Indian Union. The statehood was an outcome of enormous sacrifices made by the founding fathers of the State which strengthened the socio-politico-administrative identity of Nagaland.
To mark this auspicious occasion, Raj Bhavan Kohima has announced an essay competition under following categories as part of the celebration of Nagaland Statehood Day. This essay competition is an event to acknowledge the glorious past, encourage the progressive present and aspire for a progressive and prosperous Nagaland.

The Head of the Committee will constitute their Sub-Committee to assess and evaluate the essays and determine the winner in their respective category. The 1st winner will be awarded with a cash prize of C1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) and certificate from Governor during the Nagaland Statehood Day observance at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on 1st December 2021.
