Deputy Commissioner, Niuland, T.L. Kiusumong Tikhir, has virtually launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) at the DC’s Office Complex, Niuland on 17th June 2026.
Tikhir while addressing the gathering said drug abuse threatens society’s health and future and called for collective responsibility from parents, teachers, students, and community leaders to build drug-free communities.
The district campaign will include awareness talks, pledge events, student competitions, outreach programmes, and social media drives. NMBA is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
The program was attended by T.Y. Peter Yanthan, DPO, Neisiezo Theunuo, EAC Niuland, DHEW staff, and other District Administration officials. For help, one can contact National Helpline 14446 or District Hospital, Niuland.
