To effectively check and contain the spread of COVID-19 in rural areas, ADC & Chairman, Sub-Divisional Task Force Pughoboto, Thungchanbe Tungoehas informed that COVID-19 Surveillance Team (Community Surveillance Team) in all villages under Pughoboto Sub- Division have been constituted/formed with the following members:-

1. VDB Secretary.
2. Anganwadi Workers (AWWs).
3. Anganwadi Helpers.
4. Accredited Social Health Activist (ASIIA).

The role of the Surveillance Team:-

• To create awareness in communities on personal hygiene and other measures of prevention.
• To identify suspect case/s and report such case/s to SMO, CMC Pughoboto immediately.
• To help communities in dealing with stigma and discrimination.
• To assist the health workers in case of emergencies.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, ADC & Chairman, Sub-Divisional Task Force Pughoboto has directed all the persons/members for compliance.
